How is having your collective grow my plants legal?
In 2003, the California State Legislature passed Senate Bill 420 with the approval of Gov. Gray Davis. SB 420 allows for the collective association of patients in order to combine individual rights for larger
and more efficient medicinal grows. SB420, as it is abbreviated, also allows for patient transportation, protects the validity of patient recommendations, and keeps medical marijuana use out of motor vehicles.
How many plants are you allowed to grow for me?
Out of respect for previously established county guidelines we typically limit ourselves to 6 plants and 12 clones per collective patient. However, on Janurary 21st, 2010, the California Supreme Court ruled in People v. Kelly that the limit guidelines in
Senate Bill 420 are an unconstitutional modification to Proposition 215. This further decriminalizes additional plant growth, however, we still choose to keep our per-patient plant limit low out of respect for law enforcement.
However, if you have a critical medical condition or are in posession of a doctor's recommendation that allows you to grow beyond the '6 plant limit', we are willing to work on accomodating your needs.
